We may provide your contact information to vetted primary challenger campaigns in your
district if you have explicitly consented. We may charge campaigns a fee for access to
organized lists of supporters. Under California law, this may be considered a "sale" of
personal information.

You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time. See Section 6 (Your Rights)
for how to opt out.

Primary Challenger Campaigns:
If you checked "I consent to DNR sharing my contact info with vetted challenger campaigns," we may provide your contact information to primary challenger campaigns in your district.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - DATA SHARING FOR A FEE:
We may charge primary challenger campaigns a fee for access to contact lists of supporters who have explicitly consented to sharing. This helps sustain our platform and allows us to provide free services to citizens.

Under California law (CCPA), providing your information to third parties for a fee may be considered a "sale" of personal information. You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time. See Section 12 below for California-specific rights.

We only share information with campaigns you've explicitly consented to be contacted by, and only for vetted primary challengers in your district. Campaigns may contact you directly about volunteer opportunities, donations, or campaign updates. Once shared, these campaigns become independent data controllers and are responsible for their own use of your information.

We will NOT share your information with:

Third-party advertisers
Data brokers or list brokers outside of primary challenger campaigns
Non-political organizations
Corporate interests
Anyone who has not been vetted as a legitimate primary challenger

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS - ADDITIONAL RIGHTS:

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer
Privacy Act (CCPA):

- Right to Know: Request details about what personal data we've collected about you
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information

- Right to Non-Discrimination: We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights

DATA SHARING WITH CAMPAIGNS:
We may share your contact information with vetted primary challenger campaigns in your
district if you provided explicit consent. We may charge campaigns a fee for access to
these contact lists. Under California law, this may be considered a "sale" of personal
information.

Email us at dnrdonotreelect@gmail.com with "CCPA Opt-Out" in the subject line.
We will process your request within 15 business days and confirm when complete.

5. Your Consent

By submitting the pledge form, you consent to:

Receiving periodic updates from DNR Congress about primary challenges
Having your information shared with challenger campaigns in your district (if you checked the consent box)

data controllers; contact them directly for deletion requests
- Backups: Retained for 90 days after deletion for system integrity purposes

Under California law, providing your information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration may be considered a "sale" of personal information, even though you have consented to the sharing.

Your Right to Opt Out: If you are a California resident and wish to opt out of this sharing, you have two options:

Use our opt-out form: [Link to be added when form is created]

We will process your opt-out request within 15 business days. Once you opt out, we will not share your information with any future campaigns. However, if we have already shared your information with a campaign before receiving your opt-out request, you will need to contact that campaign directly.

We do not discriminate: You have the right to exercise your CCPA privacy rights without discriminatory treatment. We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide different quality of service because you exercised your CCPA rights.
